Why are prices in America so high? (I’m from Belgium)

I have just ordered my solar system. 7560W

  • 24 x z SunPower P19 - 315W panels
  • SolarEdge 4000 H inverter
  • 24 x power optimiser p500
  • Installation, mounting, cables, etc...

Total price including tax = €9590

Seeing similar systems from fellow American redditors I see prices of 20.000$+ Why is this price gap so big?
