How difficult is it to install a new roof under a solar array?

How difficult is it to install a new roof under a solar array?

I always hear that you don’t want to install solar on an old roof because the panels will outlive the roof.

Is it super expensive to remove panels, install a roof, and re-install the panels? How much of a difference will it make to the new roof price?
