Sharing space between parks and energy production: walking in the shadows of solar panels
In newly build areas without trees, photovoltaic solar panel parks may be a good option. Raised solar panels, lowest points 3 meters high. Some can be fixed, some rotate in 1 axis and some in 2 axis.
Putting solar panels on roofs has upsides, but space there is limited and ground level parks are better for sun-tracking rotating solar panels.
Large solar panel arrays are usually fenced-off and in boring rows, but that could be different. The panels could be in random shapes as parts of faux-trees or monuments.
Of course it is nicer to have real trees, but the solar panels have to be somewhere. Better have dual use area than cut a forest area and fence it for solar panels.
Lawn and bushes will grow under the solar panels.
Sacrifices have to be made for any form of energy.
