Help with a circuit problem

I'm doing a project with some solar panels right now, and I have a question about hooking a fan into a circuit. I'm not quite sure if this is a correctly done circuit, link
Basically, I want to have a fan hooked up into a circuit that inputs 38 volts DC that splits it with a fan and an inverter. The fan uses 12 volts DC and 0.3 amps, which is connected in series with an 80 ohms resistor. The output of this circuit would be AC, which would be supplied by the inverter.
I'm not very experienced with figuring out circuitry yet. Can someone help me look over this circuit?
